TASK 1.- Spaniard stereotypes

There are many stereotypes that foreign people have from Spaniards. First at all, they think that the only national parties are bullfighting, April's fair in Sevilla and flamenco. It’s ever further into reality. The diversity of folklore in Spain is as rich and varied as every one of our villages all over the country.

On the other hand, Spaniards have fame to be sleepyheads and lazy persons, to be out partying and eating a good meal. But, there is something more, economical and social rates prove that Spanish people work fewer hours a week than other countries do, however productivity is higher here.

When foreign people arrive to Spain, they are on holidays and they don’t think that when they are on the beach in summer, we’re probably working or trying to spend a quite holiday, too.

Foreign people also think that we are eating all the time. Actually we eat very well with our Mediterranean diet. We eat five times a day.

The best solution to eliminate all these stereotypes is coming on with us for a long time.

- I am a young woman, I am thirty-four years old. I have white skin and my hair is blonde.
- I am tall and thin. My eyes are blue, but they are small.
- I am intelligent and I am very shrewd.
- I am an amusing person and I like meeting with different people.
- I like eating very well, especially with my boyfriend.
- I like travelling to London and practising English.
- I am a peaceful woman and I don`t like arguing with my neighbours.
- I hate getting up early and not having any biscuit for breakfast.
- In conclusion, I am a happy woman and I like my life.

We have worked on the fourth task but with an unreal person.

- What's your name?

- My name is María.

- Where were you born?

- I was born in Paris.

- Nowadays, where do you live?

- I have been living in Zaragoza for two years.

- What was the reason to come to Zaragoza?

- I came to Zaragoza because I was sent by my company in France for working in Expo 2.008.

- Do you live alone?

- At first, I came alone to look for a house and to prapere everything to live in, afterwards my boyfriend came with me.

TASK 1.- Our descriptions

Beginning with Rosa and Fernando´s description.

Rosa is a worker. She has a little baby. As physical description she is tall, she has her hair brown and her eyes are brown, too. She wears rings in her ears and her face is white. She likes reading, walking and going to the cinema. Also she likes travelling by all over the world, but she wants to win the Euromillion to do it quietly. The only problem is that she doesn´t play on it!

Fernando also works. He has black hair, his eyes are brown, he usually wears glasses and likes computers, walking and going with friends when he has time. He would like to go to the United States to visit them and learn and practise English. He is tall, and he isn´t wearing anything in his ears.

We are living in La Puebla de Alfinden, it is a little town and we like studying English.

Dear Mrs. Paula,

We are interesting in taking part in your contest because we feel dance like a way of life.

We are two women who love dancing and we have been training since 1990 until this moment. We need to learn more and we want it.

We are skilled in funky and urban music because we have always been dancing in the street with our group.

We have participated in several charity festivals and we have taken part in many contests in our city, actually we won the first place in one of them.

As well as good dancers, we are very flexible people so we think we can join to the group quite well.
