Gramática: There is / There are

Use "There is" for singular nouns and things you cannot count.

- There is an apple on the desk (+)

- There isn`t an orange on the table (-)

- Is there a Post Office near hear? (?)

Use "There are" for plural nouns; that is to say, we use there are with a plural subject.

- There are four windows in my room (+)

- There aren't chairs in this room (-)

( No hay sillas en esta habitación)

- There aren't any chairs in this room (-)

( No hay ninguna silla en esta habitación)

- Are there any chairs in your room? (?)
