LAND ON MARS

Category: Funny things Date 2007-09-11 16:46:55

One day, mankind will visit the red planet. But will we stay there? The way things are now, it's pretty bleak. Cold temperatures, very low atmospheric pressures, very low levels of oxygen and water, and high levels of solar radiation make Mars an inhospitable place that would be nearly impossible to colonize on a large scale. As it is, anyway.

But what if we could slowly change the atmosphere and surface of Mars, to make it more like Earth? It would be a huge engineering problem, but some people think it is not an impossible obstacle. Your job is to explore the links below, according to the role you have been given, to find out more about Mars and to devise a logical plan of action for the future.
