Vicent van Gogh

This week in Art we are working on a painting by Vicent van Gogh called Room at Arles.
Van Gogh was Dutch. He liked to play with the light and use loose brush strokes. He also used small dots, small stripes and swirls, all of them in bright colours.
He had mental problems and cut off part of his left ear. He did over 2,000 paintings and drawings in 10 years but he only ever sold one!
On this video you can see a part of his work, especially some of his most famous paintings like ‘The sunflowers’ or ‘Starry night’.
Esta semana en plástica estamos trabajando en una pintura de Vicent Van Gogh llamada “El dormitorio en Arles”.
Van Gogh era holandés. Le gustaba jugar con la luz y usar pinceladas sueltas. También utilizaba pequeños puntos, líneas pequeñas y espirales, todos ellos en colores brillantes.
Tuvo problemas mentales y se cortó parte de la oreja izquierda. Pintó más de 2.000 cuadros y dibujos en 10 años pero sólo vendió uno.
En este video podéis ver parte de su obra, sobre todo algunos de sus cuadros más famosos como “Los girasoles” o “Noche estrellada”
